Tensions and pressure are rising as the 2023 Bar Examinations draws near. What could be the most efficient way in easing the Bar takers tense?

Nothing more than hearing uplifting words from a man whose Wisdom is crafted through time.

During Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy’s The President’s Hour and Send Off Rites for the 2023 Bar Candidates of the JMCFI-College of Law. An unexpected guest grabbed the attention of the Barristers and took the stage. And it’s no less than the Former President of the Republic of the Philippines Rodrigo Roa Duterte. He was also a prominent lawyer and a prosecutor before entering politics.

Mayor Digong had a quality time and heart-to-heart conversation with 38 JMCFI College of Law barristers, and emphasized some major points to win that rigorous and mind-boggling probe.

“You know there’s really no secret in becoming a lawyer. Meaning studying and eventually passing the bar. There is no magic formula, there’s nothing but ‘Sacrifice’ study, study and study. If you ask me memorized, memorized and memorized. During the Bar Month don’t go to the basics. Listen to the review classes, be punctual, don’t be absent. It’s important. When it’s Bar month you must schedule. Listen to the reviewers and the books just follow it. That’s all I can share with you ‘hardwork’ and ‘prayer’, Duterte said.

“I’m sure that you will pass, and I know that you will pass. I’m very positive you can do it… I’ll pray for you,” he added.

Moreover, FPRRD and PACQ are rooting with these future lawyers to be an active citizen of the Philippines, a beacon of light to those who are oppressed and somehow be a major contributor to Nation Building.

Atty. Israelito Torreon, Dean of JMCFI College of Law  also expressed His overwhelmed reaction over that occasion.

“Alhamdulillah! This is perhaps the best President’s Hour for JMC Law ever! This is the third year that JMC Law holds a send-off ceremony for its bar candidates but this is perhaps the best one ever. We were informed only 2 days ago that Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy wants to be personally present in the yearly send-off ceremony, hence, we immediately harked upon all members of the JMC Law Community to be present for the special occasion. Little did we know that it is going to be a literal “PRESIDENT’S HOUR” as our bar candidates are not only energized and motivated by the amazing speech of Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy but we were stunned that Former President Rodrigo “Mayor Digong” Duterte would also be part of the  program,” he exclaimed on his Facebook post.

JMCFI College of Law consistently writes on the Annals of History with their previous records. For its first Bar exams in 2020-2021, it got a 100 percent passing rate for the first-time takers, and ranked number 1 out of 61 Law Schools in the Philippines for schools with 11-50 candidates for first time takers; number 4 out of 25 Law Schools in the Philippines for having Exemplary Performance for schools with 11-50 candidates—making it two-fold pressure for this batch.
