JMCFI receives Data Privacy Office Certification

DAVAO CITY — JMCFI Communications Officer Jacinto T. Dandan III announced on January 24, 2022, that the institution has received the National Privacy Commission Certification on its full compliance with the requirements of the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

The DPO registration ensures that the institution has instituted data privacy policies and measures to protect the information of its data subjects through the installation of a Data Privacy Officer. In JMCFI, Mr. Dandan is the designated Data Privacy Officer.

“It only shows that the issuance of the certificate by the NPC to the institution is proof that the latter upholds the interest of its data subjects who are its employees and clientele (students, parents). By implementing the data privacy principles, the institution recognized the right to privacy of its stakeholders, both inside and outside its premises,” said JMCFI Communications Officer, Mr. Jacinto T. Dandan III.

The NPC registration ensures our stakeholders that our information processors and controllers are well supervised and monitored to comply with required standards. The NPC also assists the institution and those involved in processing personal data on the adherence to the Data Privacy Act to uphold the rights of data subjects.
