NEDA XI inks MOA with JMCFI for information system rollout

DAVAO CITY, PHILIPPINES—The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) partners with Jose Maria College Foundation, Inc. (JMCFI) for the creation of its Information System in aid of the digitalization and automation of the operations of NEDA in Region XI through the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement entered into by and between both parties on August 24, 2022.

With a strong recommendation from the Commission on Higher Education, JMCFI will deploy interns from its Information and Communication Technology Department to work on the systems development of NEDA XI Information Systems. Upon its completion, this project will streamline the processes of NEDA to ensure efficiency in its operations.

According to Director Maria Lourdes D. Lim of NEDA XI, “JMC has been renowned for its ICT program and this comes with a very strong endorsement coming from the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XI through Regional Director Maricar Casquejo.”

Through this project, the students of JMCFI-ICT will be able to apply and enhance the teachings of the institution in the real-world setting.

“The students of JMCFI will be engaged in the development of the information systems and we are offering them real world setting to apply their learnings under the tutelage of the CITE,” Lim stated.

In attendance from the NEDA are the following: NEDA XI Regional Director Maria Lourdes D. Lim, NEDA XI Chief Economic Development Specialist Lalaine M. Sajelan, NEDA XI Sr. Economic Development Specialist Meg B. Manayan, and NEDA XI Sr. Information System Analyst II Angelo Alfonso M. Tesoro III.
