Dr. J. Prospero E. De Vera III, Chairman of the Commission of Higher Education (CHED), visited the school on October 14, 2021 as part of the CHED cycling event dubbed “Padyak in Davao Region.” Beneficiaries of the Free Higher Education (FHE), Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES), and Tulong Dunong Session (TDP), as well as interested people from Higher Education Institutions in Region XI, attended the program.

The Padyak activity was held to celebrate CHED’s education program’s victory. As may be seen through the passage and successful implementation of Republic Act No. 10931, often known as the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education (UAQTE), which resulted in 1,623,642 Free Higher Education recipients, 435,367 Tertiary Education Subsidy recipients, and 191,334 Tulong-Dunong Program recipients.

Chairman De Vera also appeared on Give Us This Day, a regular television program hosted by Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy, the Founding President of Jose Maria College Foundation, Inc.
